What can we do around Belle Mare?

For a bit of shopping or a local vibe, the village of Flacq is not far. You’ll find some lovely local restaurants just a few steps from the hotel, great for a casual lunch or dinner. What’s the weather like on the east coast in summer?

From November to April it’s summer in Mauritius: hot, sunny and with a few tropical showers (mainly in January–February). Temperatures average 28–32°C - perfect for beach days! Pack light clothing, a hat, and maybe a rain jacket… we can lend you one if needed.

Can I make international calls from the room? At what cost?

Yes, international calls are possible at MUR 60 per minute. Tip: Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel - perfect for WhatsApp calls.

Is the hotel open to island residents?

Of course! Everyone is welcome to book online at hotels-attitude.com or by calling +230 204 38 20. Our team is available: Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 10:30pm Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm Public holidays: 10:30am – 3:30pm

Is it windy in summer or winter?

In winter (June to September) the east coast breeze is… invigorating. In summer, the air is calmer, warm and gentle.

Do you offer catamaran excursions?

Yes! Weather permitting, trips run from 9:30am to 4pm, including: A refreshing stop at the Grande Rivière Sud-Est waterfall Relaxing on the Deux Frères sandbank Snorkelling in turquoise waters A barbecue on board (drinks included) You can book your catamaran excursion when you reserve your stay. Is there a bus stop near the hotel?

Not right outside, but we have a taxi service available at any time on request.

Are there restaurants or street-food stalls within walking distance?

Yes, you’ll find a few options just steps from the hotel. And for guests who aren’t on All Inclusive, all of our hotel restaurants are open to you.

Is the hotel close to shops?

Yes, Flacq is a 15-minute drive away, with markets, a shopping centre and some tasty foodie stops.

Can we snorkel from the beach?

Yes! Just across the coastal road, Belle Mare beach is a beautiful spot to snorkel. Our tip: join our glass-bottom boat trip to go further out and explore the marine life. And don’t forget to pack water shoes.
