Born iPOZ began in Mauritius, with a simple idea: a pause does you good, and deserves to be taken seriously. In Zanzibar, it found its own rhythm — on an island where pole pole isn't just a phrase, but a way of life.

The treatments
The massages carry Swahili names. Pumziko, "rest", is a deep massage that releases tension both close to the surface and further down. Viungo Moto, "hot joints", warms and tones the body with pindas — pouches of heated spices, pressed firmly over stiff areas.
Also on offer: facials, body scrubs tailored to what your skin needs that day, and an after-sun treatment for skin that's spent the day exposed to the lagoon.
