Our Local Shop brings together our bulk refill corner and a carefully curated selection of locally made gifts. A boutique, yes - but above all a celebration of local and regional creativity and craftsmanship. Just the way we like it.
Regional arts & crafts
Jewellery, woven placemats, coconut-leaf baskets, sunglasses, pottery…
Each item comes from partners who share our values and craft sustainably — small workshops, family studios, makers whose work carries a story.
Our aim: highlight Zanzibar’s know-how while keeping things useful and beautiful.
In Zanzibar, as in many destinations, most souvenirs are imported. Choosing local supports artisans and helps preserve traditional craftsmanship.
The Bulk Shop
In line with our zero single-use plastic approach, minibars stay empty so guests can refill their glass jars at the Bulk Shop with local snacks, teas, coffees and small treats from the island.
All snacks are included in the All-Inclusive formula.
A few things you’ll find:
• Kashata peanut brittles, sesame brittles
• Cassava or potato chips
• Almonds, cashew nuts
• Dried mango, baobab mango
• Oat or coconut cookies
• Safari Lager & Kilimanjaro beer
• Signature Kazi Yetu x Attitude teas and infusions
Some of our snacks come from small village producers - like Mama Rashida from Matemwe
You’ll also find a small section of convenient items such as flippers or snorkels. They’re not fully local, and some may still be made with plastic. We keep them for now, until we find a better alternative.
