Discover Mauritian food
Come and share our passion for a positive and tastier world!
Mauritius is one of the most multi-cultural destinations in the world. Authentic Mauritian cuisine combines Indian, Chinese, European and African flavours. We want to share our passion for local dishes and the island’s thriving street food scene. Our Otentik experiences and restaurants will help you get involved, tasting spicy dholl puris at our own street food vans to creating traditional food during a cooking lesson with one of our chefs.
We source all of our food locally, unless it cannot be produced on the island. This supports local jobs and traditional recipes, creates a lower carbon footprint and ensures the freshest and juiciest flavours.
Street food
Mauritius is known for its street food and you can taste some of the best dholl puris and sweet pastries from our Taba-J truck.
Authentic dishes
Kot Nou is our signature restaurant dedicated to authentic homemade Mauritian food.
Tea bar
Here a lovely selection of local teas and infusions.
Not to be missed: our two signature flavours, Cardamom-Vanilla and Passion Fruit-Mango-Vanilla, produced by Corson, a family business with the Made in Moris label, just like us.
And of course, they are served in in upcycled tea glasses.
P.S: Tea is a great gift to take back home – you will find our teas at Laboutik.
Cooking class
Put on an apron and chef’s hat and join us for a Mauritian cooking class, where you can discover the secrets of our recipes.
Our chefs will teach you some tasty local dishes, so you can take our recipes home and impress your family and friends... Like the legendary sausages rougaille!
