POSTCARD,
THERE'S LOCAL LIFE.
OUR MANIFESTO
Stay rooted in every destination, wherever we are.
Work with the people who call it home.
Draw on its culture.
Respect its uniqueness.
Take you there.
Since we opened our first hotel in Mauritius in 2008, we've had one ambition: to bring you closer to the island you've come to see. Travel should mean something more than a change of scenery.
You'll find this in every detail - from local family dinner to decor and souvenirs made by local craftspeople, to stages we give to up-and-coming artists. And now, in our film. Choices you don't always see, but that reflect and respect the destination's identity.
Local all the way.
OUR FILM
« It's a story where two worlds meet to become one. »
Zuhayr Kinoo, our Art Director
Credits
Directed by: Steve McDonald, creative director - very funny (and also) talented - from 3rdfloor.tv
Camera: Alex Oelofse, ditto
Media and creative agency: simply the best - We Like Travel
Shot in: Mauritius & Zanzibar. Obviously.
Set: all real - Matemwe Attitude, Stone Town, Mnemba Island, The Ravenala Attitude, Belle Mare, Sunrise Attitude, Lagoon Attitude, Port Louis, Bactory
Cast: a proper mix of Family Members (Attitude's word for its teams), guests, local partners and artists - all playing themselves, and all named here
Music: (stick with us on this one) producer Ribongia reworked Multi culturel, a track by Mauritian group Nula Groove, weaving in the voice of Siti Muharam, the Zanzibari artist known as "the golden voice of Zanzibar" and a descendant of Siti Binti Saad, the founding figure of taarab. A story within the story.
Light: Natural. No filters.
A film made with love, by people who believe in tourism that does good.
