Hiking on the famous Le Pouce mountain
At the top, a breathtaking 360-degree view of Mauritius awaits.
After about an hour of climbing through tropical vegetation and winding paths, you will reach the summit. From there, the whole island is revealed before your eyes: its contours, its lagoon, its passes. The Indian Ocean, as far as the eye can see. But also the islands of the north (Plate Island, Round Island, Snake Island); the majestic Coin de Mire, Port Louis and the Ocean to the east; plus, the western part of the island, too. This is a beautiful family adventure, so plan a half-day excursion.
Rhum arrangé tasting
Rum is intimately linked to the history of Mauritius and its sugarcane plantations.
With brown sugar, cane syrup, fruits or spices, the choice is infinite when it comes to the flavour of our local rum. Enjoy a taster session, taking the time to discover the different types of local rums, the maceration times and the containers used to prepare rhum arrangé. When you return, you will be able to concoct the perfect rum to bring back the taste of your holiday, for an aperitif with friends or family.
